Riptide looks like it'll shake things up for the Tau and their enemies. Looking forward to it's release!

Forgive me if I'm wrong as I just got into the hobby, but is it normal for the battle force to not include two troops options? The current one has Kroot and FWs, and it just seems smart to provide a battle force box with the minimum two troops at the very least. This one doesn't have Kroot at all. Could stealth be going troops?

Lemondish,

An army in 40K needs 2 troop units. They can be of the same type (i.e. in this case they are 2 units of Firewarriors).

As a big fan of the Kroot I would like to see them in the Force Box, but the box is game legal!

Oh, yea I know that. Which is why it seems weird to me that the battle force shows one 12ish man squad all together with no other separate troops unit. I suppose you could do two six-man squads but that brings me to my original question - is it normal for a battle force to not provide two troops units without ambiguity? For example, if you try and run that box as a starter army by following the picture on the front, you'll need to buy another troop kit, right? The current battle force is essentially everything you need right out of the box with no ambiguity. This one just seems needlessly confusing for newbies like me...unless I'm missing something obvious.

You have a fair point!

2 6man squads is fine, and I use it for low pointed games.

I suppsoe you have to consider GW's perspective, they are trying to sell miniatures after all...
